Best couch co-op games on Nintendo Switch

The 26 best couch co-op games on Nintendo Switch, ranked from 8,144 critic and player ratings.

The best couch co-op game on Nintendo Switch right now is Super Mario Odyssey, with a critic score of 97/100. Updated October 2026.

How this ranking is built
  • Games are ranked on the aggregated critic score out of 100 imported from IGDB and Metacritic, never on Tier's own grades.
  • A game only enters the ranking with at least 80 external ratings, so a single enthusiastic review never outranks a proven classic.
  • Co-op support comes from IGDB multiplayer data and is checked platform by platform: a game is only listed on a machine where that mode is reported.
  • Community grades from F to S are shown next to every game, and only stated as a fact above 5 Tier ratings.
  • Release window covered: 1970 to 2026.
  • 26 games are listed on this page, carrying 8,144 ratings between them.
  • Rankings are recomputed hourly; this one was last rebuilt on 11 October 2026.
