In a dark reimagining of the original Final Fantasy, Jack is a grim, driven warrior consumed by a single obsession: to destroy Chaos, the darkness spreading across the world. He arrives in the kingdom of Cornelia alongside fellow warriors Ash and Jed, and the trio petition the king for passage into the Shrine of Chaos to end the threat at its source. Though they carry ominous black crystals and doubt whether they are truly the prophesied Warriors of Light, they set out to restore the elemental crystals and confront the Fiends of Chaos, uncovering fragments of their lost memories and the truth behind their mission as they go.
