About Contra

Contra is an arcade and platformer game developed by Digital Eclipse and published by Konami, released on 8 November 2006.

A port of the Arcade version of Contra for the Xbox Live Arcade. Relive the fun of this arcade classic! Help Lance and Bill rid the world of Red Falcon and all its alien minions! The full version includes access to all levels, Co-op multiplayer modes, a range of challenging achievements, and the ability to see how your scores compare to others!

Set in the distant future of the year 2633 A.D., the story pits humanity against the sinister Red Falcon Organization, which has established a base on the fictional Galuga archipelago near New Zealand as part of a plot to wipe out the human race. To stop them, the Earth Marine Corps dispatches two elite commandos from its Contra unit, a group specializing in guerrilla warfare: Bill Rizer and Lance Bean. The pair are sent deep into the enemy-held island to tear apart Red Falcon's forces and uncover the true nature of the mysterious alien entity secretly controlling them, before its plans can doom the world.
