Top 50

01 Super Mario World Super Mario World 1990 · 1,964 notes A 2D platformer and first entry on the SNES in the Super Mario franchise, Super Mario World follows Mario as he attempts to defeat Bowser's underlings and rescue Princess Peach from his clutches. The game features a save system, a less linear world map, an expanded movement arsenal and numerous new items for Mario, alongside new approaches to level design and art direction. 100 /100 02 The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 1991 · 1,667 notes Venture back to Hyrule and an age of magic and heroes. The predecessors of Link and Zelda face monsters on the march when a menacing magician takes over the kingdom. Only you can prevent his evil plot from shattering the land of Hyrule. In your quest, you'll venture into twisting mazes, dungeons, palaces and shadowy forests. Test your mettle with mighty swords and magical weapons. Or heft a boulder and hurl it at your enemies. If the going gets tough, dive into a river - you can swim to escape! Learn powerful spells, locate magical artifacts and solve the mysteries of the evil magician and the hidden realm of Hyrule. 100 /100 03 Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island 1995 · 702 notes Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island is a platform video game acting as a prequel to 1990's Super Mario World. The game casts players as Yoshi as he escorts Baby Mario through 48 levels in order to reunite him with his brother Luigi, who had been kidnapped by Baby Bowser's minions. As a Super Mario series platformer, Yoshi runs and jumps to reach the end of the level while solving puzzles and collecting items. In a style new to the series, the game has a hand-drawn aesthetic and is the first to have Yoshi as its main character. The game introduces his signature abilities to flutter jump, produce eggs from swallowed enemies, and transform into vehicles. 100 /100
04 Pokémon FireRed Version Pokémon FireRed Version 2004 · 547 notes Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version are a pair of core series Generation III games that are set in the Kanto region. They were released in Japan on January 29, 2004, in North America on September 9, 2004, in Australia on September 23, 2004 and in Europe on October 1, 2004. As the first remakes in the Pokémon franchise, the games revisit the original pair of Pokémon games, Pokémon Red and Green Versions, and so feature all of the characters, plot elements, and challenges of them, but with several important upgrades to bring them up to speed with other Generation III games. The Game Boy Advance Wireless Adapter was initially included with the games when they were first released, eliminating the need for Game Link Cables when trading between the two games (and later Pokémon Emerald Version). In later copies, it was sold separately. FireRed and LeafGreen went on to become the second best-selling games of the Game Boy Advance, only behind Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire Versions. They also received Nintendo's Player's Choice awards. 100 /100 05 The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild S The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2017 · 2,839 notes The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the first 3D open-world game in the Zelda series. Link can travel anywhere and be equipped with weapons and armor found throughout the world to grant him various bonuses. Unlike many games in the series, Breath of the Wild does not impose a specific order in which quests or dungeons must be completed. While the game still has environmental obstacles such as weather effects, inhospitable lands, or powerful enemies, many of them can be overcome using the right method. A lot of critics ranked Breath of the Wild as one of the best video games of all time. 98 /100 06 The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess 2006 · 493 notes The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was initially developed with the Nintendo GameCube in mind, but ended up receiving a Wii port when it was released to promote the new console. This version has motion control compatibility for the sword and pointer controls for the menus, the bow and the boomerang. This version of the game has a completely inverted map and locations when comparing with the GameCube release. The change in layout was meant to adapt Link's usually left-handed design to right-handed people, given the motion controls. 98 /100 07 Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III 2023 · 1,027 notes An ancient evil has returned to Baldur's Gate, intent on devouring it from the inside out. The fate of Faerun lies in your hands. Alone, you may resist. But together, you can overcome. 97 /100 08 Elden Ring S Elden Ring 2022 · 2,120 notes Elden Ring is an action RPG developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, released in February 2022. Directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, with world-building contributions from novelist George R. R. Martin, the game features an expansive open world called the Lands Between. Players assume the role of a customisable character known as the Tarnished, who must explore this world, battle formidable enemies, and seek to restore the Elden Ring to become the Elden Lord. The game builds on the challenging gameplay mechanics familiar from the Dark Souls series but introduces a more open-ended structure with vast exploration, dynamic weather, and a day-night cycle. It offers deep lore, complex characters, and an interconnected world filled with secrets, dungeons, and powerful bosses. 97 /100 09 Super Mario Odyssey S Super Mario Odyssey 2017 · 1,798 notes Explore incredible places far from the Mushroom Kingdom as you join Mario and his new ally Cappy on a massive, globe-trotting 3D adventure. Use amazing new abilities, like the power to capture and control objects, animals, and enemies to collect Power Moons so you can power up the Odyssey airship and save Princess Peach from Bowser’s wedding plans! 97 /100 10 Undertale S Undertale 2015 · 1,847 notes A small child falls into the Underground, where monsters have long been banished by humans and are hunting every human that they find. The player controls the child as they try to make it back to the Surface through hostile environments, all the while engaging with a turn-based combat system with puzzle-solving and bullet hell elements, as well as other unconventional game mechanics. 96 /100 11 God of War S God of War 2018 · 3,380 notes 96 /100 12 God of War III God of War III 2010 · 790 notes 96 /100 13 The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom S The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom 2023 · 491 notes 96 /100 14 LittleBigPlanet LittleBigPlanet 2008 · 270 notes 96 /100 15 Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain S Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain 2015 · 1,143 notes 96 /100 16 Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Uncharted 2: Among Thieves 2009 · 2,177 notes 95 /100 17 Divinity: Original Sin 2 S Divinity: Original Sin 2 2017 · 1,678 notes 95 /100 18 Final Fantasy X S Final Fantasy X 2001 · 1,068 notes 95 /100 19 SoulCalibur II SoulCalibur II 2002 · 187 notes 95 /100 20 God of War Ragnarök God of War Ragnarök 2022 · 1,032 notes 95 /100 21 Return of the Obra Dinn Return of the Obra Dinn 2018 · 476 notes 95 /100 22 Metaphor: ReFantazio S Metaphor: ReFantazio 2024 · 90 notes 94 /100 23 The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim B The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim 2011 · 4,927 notes 94 /100 24 Super Mario 64 S Super Mario 64 1996 · 765 notes 94 /100 25 The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition 2009 · 681 notes 94 /100 26 Persona 5 Royal Persona 5 Royal 2019 · 644 notes 94 /100 27 Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots 2008 · 720 notes 94 /100 28 Journey Journey 2012 · 1,142 notes 94 /100 29 Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2003 · 1,438 notes 94 /100 30 Persona 5 S Persona 5 2016 · 1,064 notes 94 /100 31 Hades S Hades 2020 · 1,644 notes 94 /100 32 EarthBound EarthBound 1994 · 557 notes 93 /100 33 Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception 2011 · 1,440 notes 93 /100 34 Monster Hunter: World Monster Hunter: World 2018 · 560 notes 93 /100 35 Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker 2010 · 225 notes 93 /100 36 BioShock Infinite S BioShock Infinite 2013 · 2,621 notes 93 /100 37 Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End S Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End 2016 · 3,739 notes 93 /100 38 Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos 2002 · 1,610 notes 93 /100 39 Dwarf Fortress Dwarf Fortress 2006 · 94 notes 93 /100 40 Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 2017 · 612 notes 93 /100 41 God of War II S God of War II 2007 · 1,032 notes 93 /100 42 The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword 2011 · 390 notes 93 /100 43 Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness 1995 · 381 notes 92 /100 44 The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds A The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds 2013 · 700 notes 92 /100 45 The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt S The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt 2015 · 7,200 notes 92 /100 46 The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt - Complete Edition The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt - Complete Edition 2016 · 796 notes 92 /100 47 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D 2011 · 522 notes 92 /100 48 Split Fiction S Split Fiction 2025 · 196 notes 92 /100 49 Final Fantasy XII Final Fantasy XII 2006 · 130 notes 92 /100 50 Final Fantasy XVI Final Fantasy XVI 2023 · 194 notes 92 /100
