Dr. Eggman (aka Dr. Robotnik) has returned, turning helpless animals into robots and forcing them to build his ultimate weapon, the Death Egg! But this time, Sonic has a friend that can help him: Tails! Find the 7 Chaos Emeralds and stop Dr. Robotnik’s evil scheme!

Doctor Robotnik seeks the Chaos Emeralds to power his space station, the Death Egg, and has trapped the animal inhabitants of West Side Island inside aggressive robots. Sonic the Hedgehog, joined by his new companion Miles "Tails" Prower, embarks on a journey to collect the Chaos Emeralds and stop Robotnik before his plans come to fruition.
