Tier
Tier is a social network and game-tracking platform for video gamers: log and rate the games you play on an F-to-S grade scale, write reviews, build tier lists and follow other players. It is available on the web, iOS and Android, and it is free.
The closest thing to Backloggd on this list, with three additions: real mobile apps, public Battles where two games are put to a community vote, and a price comparison on every game page. Lists can be collaborative, meaning members vote a game into a grade instead of reading someone else's ranking. The interface exists in eight languages. The catch, stated plainly, is that the community is younger and smaller than Backloggd's.
HowLongToBeat
Not really a competitor, more a different question. HowLongToBeat collects how long players actually took to finish a game and publishes it as main story, main plus extras and completionist times. If your problem is "do I have time for this before the weekend ends", nothing replaces it.
It does keep a backlog for you, but the social layer is thin compared with Backloggd or Tier, and the review culture is not the reason people go there. Most players end up using it alongside a tracker rather than instead of one.
Grouvee
Grouvee organises games on shelves, in the spirit of Goodreads, and rates on a five point scale according to its website. It has been running for years and its users are loyal to a deliberately calm, low noise interface.
Choose it if you want a private ledger more than a feed. Expect a smaller catalogue front end and fewer new features than the more active projects on this page.
Infinite Backlog
Its strongest argument is automation: according to its website it imports your libraries from Steam, PlayStation and Xbox, so the backlog fills itself instead of being typed in. If your problem is the first hour of data entry, that matters more than any feature list.
In exchange, discovery and social reading are lighter than on Backloggd. Tier covers the same automation for PC only: link a Steam account and owned games become journal entries.
Who should pick which
Stay on Backloggd for the biggest crowd and the densest game pages. Take HowLongToBeat if completion time is the actual question. Take Grouvee for a quiet shelf. Take Infinite Backlog if console imports decide it for you. Take Tier if you want grades instead of stars, an app on your phone, Battles and prices in the same place.
