Argonaut Games, the legendary studio known for bringing its pioneering 3D technology to a 2D gaming world in the 1980s, has returned after a 20 year hiatus. It became a household name to gamers worldwide by developing groundbreaking titles, including the classics Starglider and Starglider 2, the seminal Star Fox (in collaboration with Nintendo), and Croc Legend of the Gobbos. The reborn Argonaut Games continues the legacy established by Jez San OBE in 1982, now as a boutique publisher driven by creativity and developer collaboration. Possessing a catalog of classic gaming IP combined with a roadmap of original games, we hope you will join us as we embark on this exciting new chapter in Argonaut’s history. Additionally, retro-gaming fans will be excited to know that the remaster includes the Crocipedia, an extensive and meticulously curated digital museum containing long-lost development assets, such as game design documents, concept art, animation tests, team member interviews, and much more.

One peaceful morning, King Rufus, the kindly leader of a furry race of creatures called the Gobbos, spots a woven basket drifting down the river of Gobbo Valley, carrying within it a baby crocodile. Though wary at first, the Gobbos are won over by the little reptile's innocence and decide to raise him as one of their own, naming him Croc and teaching him their gentle ways. In time, Croc grows far larger than his tiny adoptive family. Then disaster strikes: the wicked Baron Dante and his band of minions, the Dantinis, storm Gobbo Valley, locking the Gobbos in cages and seizing King Rufus himself. A magical bird spirits Croc away to safety, and with his beloved family imprisoned, the brave crocodile sets out to rescue the Gobbos and defeat Baron Dante.

Gameplay
